Uncertainty persists over the whereabouts and safety of the Magajin Garin Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar Uba, three weeks after he was abducted.
Uba, a younger brother to the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk, was abducted in front of his house, after Maghrib payers, on Wednesday, May 1, Daily Trust reports.

Legit.ng gathers that there are various accounts regarding efforts to rescue the Magajin Daura.
Sources close to the family say significant progress is being made, even though family members and security operatives have not disclosed how far they’ve gone in securing Uba’s release.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the commissioner of police in Katsina state, Sanusi Buba, relocated to Daura, the hometown of President Muhamadu Buhari.
Buba's relocation to the village followed the abduction of a district head in the area, Magajin Garin Daura, Musa Umar Uba.
The immediate family of the traditional ruler and the entire Daura Emirate Council are agitated over the actual motive behind his abduction and safety.
A source within the Umar family who pleaded anonymity, said there was fear and apprehension in the family because the silence on the side of the abductors had left everybody in the dark.
