Ronaldo fails to make Serie A’s best XI after worst goal-scoring record for Juventus

- Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus has been left out of the Serie A's best X1

- This is because of his worst goal-scoring record at the just concluded season for the Old Lady

- The ex Real Madrid star has also failed to win the Golden Shoe award for the past four seasons

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to make it into the 2018-19 Serie A Team of the Year after his worst goal-scoring record for Italian champions Juventus.

After his world record transfer move from Real Madrid to Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo managed just 28 goals in his debut season for the Old Lady.

In the 2014/15 season while playing for Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo was superb for Los Blancos scoring 61 goals in all competitions.

Now, his comparatively disappointing season has seen him miss out on the Italian top-flight's Team of the Year.

Samir Handanovic of Inter Milan (Goalkeeper)

João Cancelo of Juventus

Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli

Francesco Acerbi of Lazio

Aleksandar Kolarov of Roma

Gomez of Lazio

Miralem Pjanić of Juventus

Víctor Ruiz of Villarreal

Duván Zapata of Atalanta

Josip Ilicic of Atalanta

Dries Mertens of Napoli

Also, Fabio Quagliarella of Sampdoria who won the 2018/19 Serie A golden boot with 26 goals was also omitted in the team of the year.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Fabio Quagliarella who plays for Italian side Sampdoria finished the 2018/19 Serie A season as the highest goal scorer with 26 goals beating Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 36-year-old forward however proved that age is just a number considering his performances in the out-gone season which helped him win the Golden Shoe.
