RCCG minister allegedly kills self in Abuja over accommodation issue

A minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Michael Arowosaiye, has allegedly taken his own life in Abuja.

According to multiple online reports, the incident happened around 4pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Sunnyvale Estate. The deceased allegedly hanged himself with his belt.

The young man, who recently ministered during a Youth Praise event at the church, was said to have entered into depression over his accommodation issues before taking the sad step.

Just recently, Chukwuemeka Akachi, a final year English student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka killed himself also after being depressed and losing a prolong battle with mental illness.

Akachi, who was a poet, wrote two suicide notes on his Facebook page few hours before he took the poison that led to his death on May 13, 2019. In fact, it would appear that when he dropped the first note, many tried to dissuade him from his plan. But in a second note, he told them once and for all that his mind was made up - he was going to end it.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
