Nigerian lady speaks out against abusive relationships, shares advice

- A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to share some pretty interesting advice on marriage

- She advised people not to let society pressure them into remaining in a bad situation

- She went on to state that many people do not realize they are in abusive relationships

Following the brouhaha surrounding Tonto Dikeh and her estranged ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, a lot of people have seized the opportunity to air their opinions on bad marriages and how people should handle it.

One of such is a lady identified as @karma2187 has taken to Instagram to speak on the issue. In the series of videos she shared on her page, she advised people not to remain in bad relationships and marriages due to societal pressure.

According to her, many people go into these relationships for the wrong reasons and most times, end up regretting it. She went on to state that most people don't even realize they are in abusive relationships.

Her post comes several days after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde shared interesting tips on what keeps a good marriage going. In a recent interview, the happily married woman and mother of four stated that two individuals planning to come together should know themselves and respect each other.

While speaking about marriage, she added that couples should refrain from posting everything about their relationship on social media. Jalade who has been with her husband, Captain Ekeinde for 23 years, stated that it is important that couples know God and make Him the foundation of their relationship.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
