Mourinho blasts Man United, name 2 EPL managers who enjoyed opportunities than him

- Jose Mourinho says he did not enjoy the same opportunities at Man United as Jurgen Klopp and Guardiola

- Mourinho made this clear while speaking on the Champions League match between Barcelona and Liverpool

- The ex Real Madrid manager feels the more sustained backing Guardiola and Klopp enjoyed was clear

Ex Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes he did not get the same opportunities as Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Portuguese feels Old Trafford chiefs did not give him the same backing for success that Pep Guardiola and and Jurgen Klopp have enjoyed in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho was sacked at Manchester United in December 2019 after the Red Devils' defeat against Liverpool and was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But before leaving Manchester United, Jose Mourinho helped the team to win the Europa League title and the EFL Cup.

He is currently out of coaching job although he has been doing some punditry work, and now he feels the more sustained backing Guardiola and Klopp enjoyed was clear.

"I would love to go to a club and be in conditions to do what Jurgen and Pep did.

"If you look at the Liverpool team that started the game, how many of them were there when Jurgen arrived? A couple,"

"And when Pep was not happy with the full-backs he had at City in 2016-17 and in the next summer bought four full-backs that he liked.

"When he bought one goalkeeper like Claudio Bravo and was not happy with Claudio Bravo, the next season he bought Ederson.

"When Jurgen is in the club and wins absolutely nothing for three-and-a-half years and he still has the trust, still has the confidence, still has the conditions to try to keep going and going,'' Jose Mourinho said on beIN Sports.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Jose Mourinho shown remorse for him to have been fired at Manchester United claiming that the Premier League giants remain the only side where he left with unfinished business.

Mourinho who had coached clubs like Real Madrid, Porto and Chelsea made it clear that Old Trafford is the only place he left without best feelings.

The Transitional Phase of African Poetry

The Transitional Phase The second phase, which we have chosen to call transitional, is represented by the poetry of writers like Abioseh Nicol, Gabriel Okara, Kwesi Brew, Dennis Brutus, Lenrie Peters and Joseph Kariuki. This is poetry which is written by people we normally refer to as modem and who may be thought of as belonging to the third phase. The characteristics of this poetry are its competent and articulate use of the received European language, its unforced grasp of Africa’s physical, cultural and socio-political environment and often its lyricism. To distinguish this type of poetry we have to refer back to the concept of appropriation we introduced earlier. At the simplest and basic level, the cultural mandate of possessing a people’s piece of the earth involves a mental and emotional homecoming within the physical environment. Poems like Brew’s ‘‘Dry season”, Okara’s “Call of the River Nun”, Nicol’s “The meaning of Africa” and Soyinka’s “Season”, to give a few examples,

The pioneering phase of African Poetry

The pioneering phase We have called the first phase that of the pioneers. But since the phrase “pioneer poets” has often been used of writers of English expression like Osadebay, Casely-Hayford and Dei-Anag, we should point out that our “pioneer phase” also includes Negritude poets of French expression. The poetry of this phase is that of writers in “exile” keenly aware of being colonials, whose identity was under siege. It is a poetry of protest against exploitation and racial discrimination, of agitation for political independence, of nostalgic evocation of Africa’s past and visions of her future. However, although these were themes common to poets of both English and French expression, the obvious differences between the Francophone poets and the Anglophone writers of the 1930s and 1940s have been generally noted. Because of the intensity with which they felt their physical exile from Africa, coupled with their exposure to the experimental contemporary modes of writing in F
