Man United 'set to be robbed' of UCL football next season on 1 condition even if they finish 4th

Champions League football next season for four clubs is still not guaranteed even in week 37 of the Premier League.

The Premier League title race pitting Liverpool and Manchester City has been thrilling, with both sides neck-and-neck for domestic glory.

As such, the two sides have already sealed the top two slots of the table, with a mind-boggling 22 points separating second-placed Man City and third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

But that is not even what is making this season's Premier League campaign delighting as the race for top four featuring four teams has been rousing in equal measure.

Five points are separating the four sides which include Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United with just two matches left to end the season.

Therefore, United, who sit sixth with 65 points still stand a chance of sealing a Champions League place at the end of the campaign.

Here at Legit.ng, we take a closer look at some of the scenarios that could guarantee a Champions League qualification for sixth place Man United.

The Old Trafford dwellers need a top four finish in the Premier League to gain an almost automatic qualification for the European showpiece.

Given the current competition in the race for top four, they will have to win both of their remaining fixtures and hope their rivals slip up to stand a realistic chance of qualifying.

Compellingly, even coming in fourth may not be enough for the Manchester outfit.

For instance, if the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer-tutored side finish fourth behind Chelsea in third but then Tottenham win the Champions League and Arsenal win the Europa League, United will be dumped out as European champions would take precedence.

Again, should United finish fourth, they will hope Spurs end their season third because then the London side's potential Champions League triumph would not affect them.

Meanwhile, should the last two matches toss up major surprises and the Red Devils finish third, they would be then assured of Champions League football next season.

The English Premier League have a maximum of five slots for teams that can take part in Champions League.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Paul Pogba’s brother, Florentin, believes there is the possibility of the French World Cup winner leaving Manchester United for Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.

According Metro citing Spanish news channel AS, Los Blancos manage Zinedine Zidane has reportedly listed his compatriot as a top midfield target as he prepares to carry out a massive overhaul of Real Madrid.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
