Liverpool take Premier League title race to final day following slim win at Newcastle

- Newcastle vs Liverpool ended in a narrow 3-2 to the Reds at ST. James' Park

- Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi scored for Liverpool

- The Magpies got their goals through Christian Atsu and Salomon Rondon

Newcastle vs Liverpool ended in a 3-2 victory as the Reds take Premier League title race to the last day.

The Magpies gave Jurgen Klopp's side a run for their money in the thrilling contest that produced five goals at the St. James' Park.

Liverpool got off the mark in the 13th minute through the PFA Player of the Year, Vigil Van Dijk, as he headed home a Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross from a set piece to make it 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Salomon Rondon equalized for Newcastle after Liverpool failed to clear their lines properly to make it 2-2.

Salah was stretched off after he sustained an injury which could keep him out in the Champions League game against Barcelona and their final league match with Wolves.

Substitute, Divock Origi scored the winner in the 85th minute as the Merseyside take three valuable points to their last game of the season against Wolves.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that that nine-man Tottenham lost 1-0 to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium at the top four race will be decided on the last day of the season.
