Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo buys new £750,000 McLaren Senna sports-car

Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus superstar has gifted himself a McLaren Senna hyper-car valued around N34 million (£750,000).

The 34-year-old recently voted the Italian League most valuable player just after one season representing the Old Lady.

He also helped the Turin based club win their 35th Serie A title - scoring 21 goals and eight assists in 31 league matches last term.

Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward acquired the machine few weeks after reportedly buying the world's most expensive car worth £9.5 million.

Ronaldo flaunted the powerful car barely 24 hours after being sighted with Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton.

SunSport reports that the five time Ballon d'Or winner was said to have purchased Bugatti La Voiture just weeks ago - a car that is literally a one-off both in price and as a prototype.

The publication further claims that it would have cost him nearly £10m, roughly the amount he earns in two months from his annual salary of about £61m.

However, his latest acquisition is for sheer pace and power with the third model in the McLaren Ultimate Series, named after F1 legend Ayrton Senna.

According to the firm, the Senna reaches 62mph in 2.8 seconds - still a yawning 0.8 secs longer than it took Saudi footballer Nawaf Al Abed to net football's fastest ever goal after the first whistle in 2009.

The new sportscar has now been added to Ronaldo's collection which includes Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Aston Martin DB9 and Bentley Continental GTC Speed.

But he also has exotic little numbers like a Ujn Ferrari 599 GTO and a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.

All in all, Ronaldo could trade his cars in to buy a football squad that might just stay up in the Premier League.

Ronaldo remains the most successful player in the history of Champions League with five titles from two clubs - Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The 34-year-old has also won league titles every country he has played except at Sporting CP where he started his career.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has now been crowned player of the year across three of Europe's top five leagues.

The Portuguese star picked up his award as Serie A's best player in 2018-19 campaign on Sunday, May 19, at Allianz Stadium after enjoying a successful debut season at Juventus.

According to Give Me Football, some fans were divided between the Portuguese star Ronaldo and Fabio Quagliarella, but Ronaldo has impacted positively at Juventus since his arrival last summer.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
