A report by Daily Trust indicates that a Katsina-based Islamic cleric, Mallam Aminu Usman, popularly called “Abu Ammar” have been invited and detained by men of State Security Service in Katsina.

Abu Ammar’s arrest on Tuesday, May 14, sources quoted in the report say, might not be unconnected with a pre-“hudba” sermon he made where he berated President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration over nonchalant attitude and worsening insecurity across the country.

According to the report, Abu Ammar was with his friend, Malam Shamsu, when he received a call inviting him by security men who asked him to come down to the Department of State Security (DSS) office in the state.
