Fans poke fun as Man United star after he unveils designer perfume brand

- Lukaku has parternered with Abercrombie and Fitch to launch his own fragrance

- The Man United star made the announcement to fans in a Twitter post

- However, he received backlash from a section of fans who the announcement did not go down well with

Manchester United forward, Romelu Lukaku, has landed himself in trouble with fans after launching his own cologne brand.

Lukaku partnered with Abercrombie and Fitch to release the aftershave fragrance.

He took to his Twitter account to share the arguably exciting news with fans - but some were less impressed as they poked fun on the Belgian.

"Excited to share that starting today, you can visit an Abercrombie store in London, Manchester, or Brussels to get my limited edition bottle of Fierce cologne before anyone else. Very limited quantities," he posted.

The announcement came just two days after his disappointing display during United's 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Old Trafford, and therefore drawing the ire of some United fans.

One hilariously suggested the fragrance could only last 20 minutes before fading, alluding to Lukaku's sporadic performances during matches.

@MPraiz thought the timing was completely off.

@Ibion joked: "Lukaku is releasing a new fragrance. It will be called “Missed”, and will last for just 20 minutes."

@TimKellyRSA thought the fragrance was completely offside, in apparent reference to the many offside calls Lukaku received during the Chelsea clash.

A former Director-General of the Nigeria Maritime Agency, Buba Galadima, has accused the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria of witch-hunt after the agency took possession of his business and assets on Tuesday in Abuja. Galadima, an ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, claimed that he did not borrow money or have unpaid debt with Unity Bank, which lodged a complaint against him and occasioned AMCON’s move on Tuesday. The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go.
