Emery reveals decision on who will face Chelsea between Cech and Leno in Europa League final

- Unai Emery is backing Petr Cech to continue in Arsenal starting XI against Chelsea in Europa League final

- Cech has been offered the job of sporting director at Chelsea after he quits active football at the end of the season

- Emery also hammered on the importance of beating London rival Chelsea to the trophy

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is backing Petr Cech to keep his place in Arsenal's starting XI to face Chelsea in next week’s Europa League final.

According to The Mirror, Cech, was reportedly offered the role of sporting director at Chelsea for when he bows out at the end of the campaign.

However, the news raised concern ahead of Arsenal's Europa League showdown final with Chelsea in Baku, with some section of fans citing conflict of interest could be at work.

Cech took to the social media in a bid to calm frayed nerves saying: "Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before I'll make decision about my future after the last game. Now my sole focus is to win the Europa League with Arsenal."

Interestingly, the former Chelsea shot-stopper is no longer Arsenal's first choice, but has been starting ahead of German goalie Bernd Leno in the Europa League and is set to continue in his last game for the Gunners.

And Emery insists on Wednesday that Cech will start for Arsenal against Chelsea in Europa League final game.

Speaking further, the Spaniard, who has previously won the Europa League is eyeing a return to the Champions League hammered on the importance of beating London rival Chelsea to the trophy.

"We want and we feel this competition as an important competition for us.

"We want to feel a special moment, and this is a special moment. We want to enjoy it, whether it's very far or not for the supporters. The match is the same importance.

"I think it's very special in two ways. One is because it's a derby we are going to play away but we are going to feel the same.

"We need to battle against them. We finished behind them in the Premier League, and last year they were in front of us.

"Our ambition is to reduce the difference with them in all the competitions. Our first possibility, our challenge is in this final,” Emery summed up.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Petr Cech has revealed when he will make a decision on his future at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

According to The Mirror, the 37-year-old shot-stopper, who will bow out at the season hinted back in April that he will make his next destination public after Arsenal tackle London rivals Chelsea in Baku.

Cech has now been offered a job by the Blues and are keen to see veteran goalkeeper return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
