- The EFCC has continued its clampdown on internet fraudsters across the country
- Attention has shifted to Rivers state where the Port Harcourt zonal office of the commission have made some arrests

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Port Harcourt’s zonal office, have arrested fifteen suspected internet fraudsters in a raid at a hotel in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
The suspects, who are between the ages of 18 and 30, were nabbed while relaxing in the hotel.
According to the EFCC, their arrest followed surveillance and intelligence reports on their activities.
The anti-graft commission also said the move is in response to the resolve of the EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu to rid the nation of internet fraudsters.
Among the suspects are five young ladies and ten young men.
They are: Tamunotonye Tolofari; Isaac Michael; Kingdom Ekekwu; Daniel Uwalaka; Godswill Agwu; Innocent Daniel; Prince Amaya; Tiemo Ipite; Nduah Gentle; Stella Gbarakoro; Christiana Cletus; Anita Jane; Best Noble, Nduah Precious and Emeka Chibuike Emeka.
Items recovered from them are laptops and phones. The suspects have made useful statements to the commission and would soon be charged to court.
Similarly, operatives of the EFCC, Benin zonal office on Saturday, May 4, arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters during an early morning raid at Uromi, Edo state.

According to a statement posted on EFCC social media pages, the suspects, who are between the ages of 20 to 35 were arrested in a hotel at Uromi.
Upon their arrest, 23 phones and three laptops were recovered from them. Three luxury cars, Lexus R330, C300 4 Matic and GLK 350 4Matic were also recovered from them.
