Chelsea begin talks with Real Madrid star following 2-window transfer ban

- Chelsea are looking to make Mateo Kovacic's loan deal permanent at Stamford Bridge

- The Croatian international is currently on a season-long loan deal with the London club

- Chelsea have been handed a two-window transfer ban following the irregularities with young players

Chelsea are reportedly in talks with midfielder Mateo Kovacic to make his loan move permanent.

The Blues have been slapped with a two-window transfer ban but still hope they can successfully appeal the suspension.

And as Kovacic and Gonzalo Higuain have already been registered, the London club may be able to complete a double swoop from their loan deals.

According to Goal, Chelsea have already started working on bringing the Real Madrid midfielder with Ruben Loftus-Cheek's injury increasing their need.

And Chelsea could also reward Higuain with another deal despite his not too convincing form since leaving Juventus in January.

Fifa rejected Chelsea's appeal but the club have taken the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

But if the ban stands, the Blues may turn to their army of loan stars to remain competitive at Stamford Bridge next season.

The likes of Michy Batshuayi, Tammy Abraham, Kurt Zouma, Mason Mount and Reece James have all starred this season and could make an impact.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly concluded plans to end Gonzalo Higuain’s loan deal this summer.

The Argentine forward joined the Blues on a short term deal from Italian League champions Juventus in January.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
