The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed a new acting national publicity secretary for the party.
Victor Giadom, a former executive Chairman of Gokana local government area also served as commissioner for works in the Rotimi Amaechi administration in Rivers state from 2011 to 2015.
Giadom also served as the director general of the Greater Together Governorship Campaign Organisation of APC in 2015 and a running mate to Tonye Cole in the 2019 governorship election for APC.
A statement signed by the APC national publicity secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said Giadom was the party’s deputy national secretary before the appointment.

Issa-Onilu also said Giadom's appointment followed decision of the National Working committee of the party on Friday, May 24.
The statement added that Giadom will continue as APC's national secretary pending the announcement of a replacement for Mai Mala Buni who is now the Governor-elect of Yobe State.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the national vice chairman, south south, of the APC, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, has reacted to the Supreme Court's judgement which nullified nullified all votes cast for the party in the 2019 elections in Zamfara state.

Eta said the party has no option than to accept the ruling of the Supreme Court.
Legit.ng notes that the Supreme Court's judgement affected the governorship as well as state/federal legislative polls in Zamfara state.
