3 UniAbuja students watch their friend drown in swimming pool because he is from a wealthy home

- Four undergraduate friends had gone for a weekend fun at Dome Hotel, Abuja, they are all freshers

- One of them 17-year-old Emmanuel Aigbokhalode Balogun paid for them to swim

- Balogun got drowned in the swimming pool but rather than run to his rescue, his friends left him to die because they are jealous that he is from a rich home and is the toast of ladies on campus

A Nigerian man identified as Mystic Biu on Facebook has shared an awful story of how four University of Abuja 100-level students had gone to catch some fun on a weekend at a hotel.

The four friends had gone to swim at the swimming pool of Dome Hotel in Abuja but only three of them left the pool side without their friend, 17-year-old Emmanuel Aigbokhalode Balogun.

Emmanuel who was said to have paid the fee of N2,000 each for the four of them was left to drown and died by his so-called friends who saw him drowning but refused to help him or call out to the management of the hotel for help. Rather, they were glad to see the end of their presumed enemy just because he is from a wealthy home and had fine looks which made ladies swarm around him.

Emmanuel’s parents were not even informed of his death until an anonymous lady called them days later to inform them that their dear son had gone missing for days.

Thanks to the management of the hotel for installing CCTV camera which eventually revealed the evil act of the undergraduates and they have since been arrested by the police.

It was gathered that Olukoyi was at a viewing center watching the football match between Liverpool and Barcelona when another student raised an alarm after he felt something crawling on his leg, thinking it was a snake. His frightening cry for help had resulted in a stampede as everyone scuttled around to make a quick exit from the centre in fear of falling victim to a snake bite.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
