Yahaya Bello urges Nigerians to have compassion on fellow humans

- Nigerians have been asked to show compassion and care for their fellow humans

- Governor Yahaya Bello said he has over the years spent hundreds of millions of naria on saving lives of people

- According to Bello, people must not necessarily be rich before they can touch lives

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on Monday, April 1, called on Nigerians to show compassion and care for their fellow humans, especially those battling with health challenges and other problems.

Bello made the call in Lokoja when he received some political leaders from Ofu local government area of the state who paid him a thank-you visit for his financial supports towards saving the life of a former majority leader of the state assembly, Yakubu Yunusa.

He said he has over the years spent hundreds of millions of naira on saving lives of people, not only in the state, but in other parts of the country.

According to him, people must not necessarily be rich before they can touch lives, adding that it takes love, care and compassion for fellow humans to be able to reach out to others.

A member of the group and former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in the state, Ndamodu Ali, lauded the governor for his compassionate gesture and swift intervention in the health problems of their leader.

Ali also assured that they would work for his victory in the November governorship election.

Legit.ng previously reported that the governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, on Monday, March 19, drove through bad roads and flooded areas to visit victims of suspected herdsmen attacks in the state.

He visited Ojuwo Ajoma - Igbi in Bassa LGA where suspected herdsmen reportedly killed some residents of the area.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
