War at San Siro as Inter boss and player’s agent in hot exchange of words

- Mauro Icardi's agent Wanda Nara has faulted Inter Milan's manager Luciano Spalletti over his stand on not playing the Argentine forward

- Spalletti insists he will not pick Icardi despite ongoing war between Inter and the forward's agent

- Icardi has not played for Inter since losing the captain’s armband six weeks ago

Luciano Spalletti, Inter Milan manager, and Mauro Icardi's agent and wife Wanda Nara have been involved in hot exchange of words as her husband sat out of Serie A action.

According to English AS, Icardi has not been included in Inter matchday squad by Spalletti since stripping him of the captain’s armband six weeks ago

And on Sunday, March 31, Icardi was missing again as Lazio claimed a 1-0 win at San Siro.

Reacting after the match, Spalletti insists ongoing discussions between Icardi and Inter is disgraceful.

"It's obvious for everyone to see what happened. It's obvious," he told Sky Sport Italia, amid reports of a training ground row this week. "The way he has behaved, he needs to stay away and others have to play.

"Negotiating with someone just to get him to pull on the Inter shirt. What, do I need to email 20 lawyers and ask them if I can call someone up?"

Interestingly, Icardi and Nara were at the San Siro as Inter surrendered all points to the away side's home defeat and the 26-year-old's agent replied Spalletti’s latest ‘attack’ her man.

"Mauro is ready and it's all down to the coach's decision," Nara was quoted as saying on TV show Tiki Taka.

"If Mauro came back, would he make the same choices? It depends on what choices... I don't know. It depends on how you see the situation.

"Mauro has not yet spoken: he only expects to play and is preparing for this.

"His [Spalletti's] words are not a step back. Mauro is used to hearing so many things around him, but then focuses on what needs to be done to help Inter on the field."

She further stressed that Icardi's silence should not be taken for granted.

"He had a television camera right in his face throughout the game.

"He was willing the team on and obviously cares a lot for his team-mates, but he doesn’t need to say it out loud or on social networks,” Icardi's wife submitted.

The striker is yet to react on his latest row with Inter Milan.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported Inter Milan are ready to offer Man United striker Mauro Icardi plus cash for the possibility of them to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Milan are said to have been long term admirers of Belgian football star Romelu Lukaku and they are now ready to lure him to Italy at the end of the season.

The Transitional Phase of African Poetry

The Transitional Phase The second phase, which we have chosen to call transitional, is represented by the poetry of writers like Abioseh Nicol, Gabriel Okara, Kwesi Brew, Dennis Brutus, Lenrie Peters and Joseph Kariuki. This is poetry which is written by people we normally refer to as modem and who may be thought of as belonging to the third phase. The characteristics of this poetry are its competent and articulate use of the received European language, its unforced grasp of Africa’s physical, cultural and socio-political environment and often its lyricism. To distinguish this type of poetry we have to refer back to the concept of appropriation we introduced earlier. At the simplest and basic level, the cultural mandate of possessing a people’s piece of the earth involves a mental and emotional homecoming within the physical environment. Poems like Brew’s ‘‘Dry season”, Okara’s “Call of the River Nun”, Nicol’s “The meaning of Africa” and Soyinka’s “Season”, to give a few examples,
