The report said 19 members had perfected plot to impeach the speaker and that the number included the five of the suspended members.

The allegation concerned the way the speaker had directed the affairs of the assembly as well as refusal to pay most of their allowances.

“The members of the House are not happy because their allowances and other entitlements have not be paid to them.

“Forget that majority of them had joined Action Alliance (AA) hoping that they would returned to the House as they were promised by the state governor. But, only six of the current members won re-election back to the house and they are not,” a source was quoted as saying.

It was learnt that Ihim took the decision to recall the suspended members at a sitting where a motion was moved by the representative of Nkwerre state constituency, Chika Madumere.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Uche Nwosu, the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the just concluded governorship election in Imo state, on Thursday, April 11, said new findings have shown that he would reclaim his mandate.

Nwosu said the level of irregularities discovered in some local government areas during the election is alarming.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
