Simi drops new album on her birthday, dedicates it to her late father

- Nigerian sensational singer, Simisola Ogunleye, popuparly known as Simi has released a new album

- The singer dedicated the album titled Omo Charlie Champagne, to her late father Charles Oladele Ogunleye

- Simi who released the album on her birthday April 19, has left social media users pretty excited about the promises it holds

When Simi released her self-titled debut album, Simisola, a lot of Nigerians were overcome with joy and excitement about the amazing blend of her sensational voice and the deep lyrics. Well, fans are in for a threat as she has released her second album.

The singer who made the announcement on her social media page on her birthday, April 19, revealed the album titled Omo Charlie Champagne, is dedicated to her late father, Charlie Oladele Ogunleye. The singer went on to express how blessed she feels to have come this far.

She wrote: "When I was compiling this album, I knew I wanted to dedicate it to my daddy, Engr. Charles Oladele Ogunleye - who passed in 2014. I’m blessed to have come this far. I’m blessed that it was possible for me. I do not take this for granted. I couldn’t possibly be more thankful for this journey. To have amazing people like you supporting me everyday is absolute Magic! I love you."

The 13-track album has the likes of Patoranking, Falz, Maleek Berry and her singer hubby, Adekunle Gold. One of her songs was even produced by top music producer, Legendary Beatz.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
