Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem speaks on Zamfara massacre, likens it to 2016 hit movie Blood Diamond

A pioneer rapper in the Nigerian music industry has come out to express his reservations concerning the recent killings that have been going in Zamfara state.

The rap legend identified as Eedris AbdulKareem spoke on the violence and killings that have been reported in the state, which is fueled by the mining of gold and lead.

Sharing a photo post of a mine in the state, the rapper explained in his caption that a lot of Nigerians own shops in Dubai, with most of them involved in supplying gold in the country.

He called on the necessary authorities to go after the middle men who are in charge of supplying, adding that he hopes some political figures are among those that will be accosted.

Speaking further in the comment section of his post, the rapper noted that the mining business should not pose such a problem, but the illegality of the way it is being run, is responsible for fueling crisis.

He concluded by noting that what is happening in the state is a case of illegal mining in which some cartels are making millions of money off the blood of innocent people. He made a reference to the 2006 hit movie Blood Diamond, saying that a real life scenario of what happened in the movie, is what is being re-enacted in the state.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
