Promising Nigeria defender who plays for Roma quits football at 21 following medical condition

- Nura Abudulahi's dream of becoming of top football star hit the rocks following medical condition

- The Roma full-back was advised by the club to quit the game after undergoing cardiological tests

-Abudlahi recently signed a four-year extension that will keep him at the club until 2021

Nura Abdullahi has been forced to into early retirement from football because of a heart problem and he is currently in talks with Roma over his contract.

In March, the Serie A club advised the 21-year-old to quit the game for 30 days after undergoing some cardiological tests at the club.

Abdulahi has not played a competitive game since February 2018 when he turned out for Serie B club Perugia.

He initially joined Roma on loan from Spezia in June 2015 before the Stadio Olimpico outfit made his deal permanent a year later with a $2million signing.

Despite his fine displays in the youth side, Abdulahi was unable to break into the first-team and was loaned out to Perugia last January where he only played 53 minutes of football in three matches.

In 2017, the young Nigerian prospect signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him with Roma until the summer of 2021.

According to Italian news media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are considering a coaching role for the Kaduna-born full after spending four years with the club.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Papy Faty, a Burundian international, collapsed and died during a football match after he disobeyed medical advice to quit the game because of his heart condition.

The 28-year-old was involved in a league game for Swaziland side Malanti Chiefs when he fell ill and died as a result.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
