The Reds are the only team with a convincing win over in the first leg following their 2-0 win over FC Porto in Portugal earlier this week.

Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino both scored a goal each in the fixture to hand the Premier League giants a two-goal advantage for Jurgen Klopp's men.

The victory maybe convincing but not comfortable considering the round of 16 clash between Man United and PSG.

Luke Shaw's own goal in the 12th minute ensured the Catalans emerged victorious after regulation period on the night.

United will now be hoping they can count on their dramatic comeback against PSG when they visit Camp Nou next week.

Despite Manchester City suffering 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, they have the third best odds to upturn the result of their first leg clash in the second leg.

Italian League champions Juventus have a 9 percent chance to reach the next stage of the championship despite being held to 1-1 draw in Holland.

Cristiano Ronaldo's powerful header gave the visitors the lead but David Neres stunner early in the second half restored parity for the Dutch side.

Tottenham Hotspur, despite their slim win over Man City still stand a very low percentage (8%) to progress.

Ajax (5%), Manchester United (1%) and FC Porto (1%) are the three last teams on the chart with the lowest chances of qualifying for the semifinals this campaign.

The England left back deflected Luis Suarez's header into his side's net just after 12 minutes of action after Lionel Messi directs a cross into the Red Devils' danger zone.

Both sides file out for the second leg of the meeting at Camp Nou next week as they hope to reach the last four stage of the competition.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
