Pogba reveals why he change his style of taking penalty-kicks against West Ham

- Paul Pogba took his two penalties against West Ham in a different way he used to

- The France international had introduced a slow run-up before hotting the ball

- Manchester United ran away with a 2-1 victory against Manuel Pellegrini's side

Paul Pogba has opened up on why he changed his penalty run-up in Manchester United's win against West Ham at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman scored two penalties against the Hammers in his unusual slow run up he introduced at the start of the season

Pogba took plenty of steps before converting against Leicester City on matchday 1 but has had instances where he was unsuccessful.

The 26-year-old failed to score against Southampton, Burnley and Everton after stuttering to the spot.

But in United's crucial Premier League fixture against West Ham, Pogba ditched his long run-up in an conventional way and it worked.

Pogba scored a penalty each in both halves of the match to secure all three points for United and after the game, he revealed why he changed his penalty run-up.

"Because what matters is to put the ball inside (the goal)," Pogba said when asked why he changed his penalty run-up.

"That's all, I've learnt," he added. "Maybe I tricked him (the goalkeeper) today!"

Pogba also admitted that United were lucky to have got maximum points against the London club.

"I think we had the luck, you always have to take it, sometime it is for the other team but we took it today."

Pogba has now scored with 13 league goals and since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho last December.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester United kept their top-four hopes alive following a 2-1 win over West Ham United.

Paul Pogba scored two penalties, while Felippe Anderson was also on the scoresheet for the Hammers when he leveled the scores four minutes after the restart.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
