Paul Pogba has opened up on why he changed his penalty run-up in Manchester United's win against West Ham at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old failed to score against Southampton, Burnley and Everton after stuttering to the spot.

But in United's crucial Premier League fixture against West Ham, Pogba ditched his long run-up in an conventional way and it worked.

Pogba scored a penalty each in both halves of the match to secure all three points for United and after the game, he revealed why he changed his penalty run-up.

"Because what matters is to put the ball inside (the goal)," Pogba said when asked why he changed his penalty run-up.

"That's all, I've learnt," he added. "Maybe I tricked him (the goalkeeper) today!"

Pogba also admitted that United were lucky to have got maximum points against the London club.

"I think we had the luck, you always have to take it, sometime it is for the other team but we took it today."

Pogba has now scored with 13 league goals and since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho last December.
