Pep Guardiola blasts Solskjaer for making 1 damaging comment ahead of derby clash

Pep Guardiola has accused Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of attempting to influence referee Andre Marriner by accusing his side of ‘tactical fouling’.

Pep Guardiola has faulted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comment after United boss accused City of ‘tactical fouling’ during matches ahead of their derby clash on Wednesday, April 24, at Old Trafford.

According to Metro, the Spaniard believes such statement are capable of influencing referee Andre Marriner decision during tonight’s game, with the Citizens needing a win to reclaim the Premier League top spot from Liverpool.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, the Norwegian claimed Man City are masters of the dark arts, regularly breaking up play on rare occasions they lose the ball.

“That’s the reason why, of course,” noted Guardiola while responding to a question if he was bothered that Solskjaer’s comments were targeted to unsettle the match official.

“I know exactly what I said to my players from day one to the last day. So when a player wants to attack we have to be honest and of course, there is contact, there are fouls.

But when it happens and you arrive late, that is why there are referees to make yellow cards, or red cards or whatever they decide but never have I prepared a game to do that.

“But never. I prepare the game to do our own game. That is what I want, of course, knowing the opponent but I never said I am going to do that, punish them or cancel them making fouls. Never,” submitted Guardiola.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Pep Guardiola declared City are not afraid heading to the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ to battle Man United in a tough EPL showdown on Wednesday, April 24, at Old Trafford.

According to the Mirror, City have claimed five wins with one draw in their last seven trips to their city rivals in the Premier League, with Guardiola stressing the venue no longer has a fear factor for the Citizen - who could not win at Old Trafford for 34 years between 1974 and 1988.

“The reason why is the fact this club in the last decade grew a lot and it's not scary to go there,” noted Guardiola.

A former Director-General of the Nigeria Maritime Agency, Buba Galadima, has accused the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria of witch-hunt after the agency took possession of his business and assets on Tuesday in Abuja. Galadima, an ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, claimed that he did not borrow money or have unpaid debt with Unity Bank, which lodged a complaint against him and occasioned AMCON’s move on Tuesday. The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go.
