Unknown gunmen reportedly attacked travellers on the Abuja-Kaduna road in the evening of Monday, April 1, with some passengers allegedly abducted by the assailants.
The incident, according to Premium Times, resulted in a standstill as fear gripped the travelers.
The report said the attackers also robbed travellers of their possessions and caused several crashes because they forced vehicles on high speed to stop abruptly.

It was learnt that the Nigerian Army later responded to emergency as the security body dispatched about three truckloads of soldiers.
The response of the Army was confirmed by Yakubu Mohammed, who witnessed the incident.
It was learnt that Mohammed was among those travelling from Kaduna to Lagos in a luxury bus when they drove into the ambush near Katari town, about 74 kilometres from Abuja around 6:22 pm.
According to the report, the kidnappers operated for about 30 minutes before the soldiers and police agents arrived the scene.
One of those who were taken away by the abductors included occupants of a Toyota Hilux truck and a Toyota Corolla sedan.

The report added that some vehicles were riddled with bullets adding that the spokespersons of the police and the military did not return calls to them for their reactions.
Legit.ng earlier reported that gunmen on Wednesday, March 27, attacked Suleiman Abubakar, chairman of correspondents’ chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Nasarawa state and abducted his wife, Yahanasu Abubakar.
Suleiman said that the incident happened at about 7pm along Gudi-Garaku road in Akwanga local government area of the state.
According to Suleiman, the gunmen shot at the union bus they were travelling in from Keffi, where his wife went to register at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp.
