Nigerian singer Naira Marley defends internet fraudsters, says 'Yahoo Yahoo' is not a crime

- Nigerian singer, Naira Marley recently sated that slavery is justification for internet scams

- He shared this on his Instagram page, where he suggested that people who understand slavery will understand the necessity of 'Yahoo Yahoo'

In what appears to be a justification for the existence of Yahoo boys known as internet fraudsters, Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, recently stated that people who understand slavery will excuse yahoo boys and their means of livelihood.

All over the world, it has become quite popular that some Nigerian guys engage in internet scams. In fact, a popular joke is often shared on the internet about a Nigerian prince looking to dispose of the bulk of wealth he has - a well known line used to capture the attention of victims who end up being defrauded of their hard-earned money.

While security and anti-graft agencies try their hardest to combat the crime by arresting the criminals, internet scams are still very much carried out and sometimes, even glorified by singers.

Just recently, singer, Marley, tried to justify the crime by suggesting that it is pay back for having Africans work as slaves in an earlier century.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Simisola has shared her thoughts on internet fraud and how it affects Nigeria as a country.

The singer urged people to stop glorifying internet fraud and try to change the minds of those doing it.

Simisola also called on Yahoo boys to stop buying her CDs and watching her videos.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
