- Eight bouts are scheduled for the night, two international fights between Nigerians and their African counterparts, and six local bouts

Nigeria's Oto 'Joe Boy' Joseph, who is the reigning African Boxing Union (ABU) lightweight champion, is set to defend his title on Easter Sunday, April 21, against his Ghanaian opponent Success “Brave Warrior” Tetteh at the Gotv Boxing Night 18.
The bout which is the biggest of the eight bouts on the night is scheduled to hold at the Obafemi Awolowo (formerly Liberty) stadium, as the event makes a return to Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Another big international fight scheduled to hold is the light middleweight challenge duel between Nigeria’s Akeem “Dodo” Sadiku and the Republic of Benin’s Ekpresso Djamihou.
After the huge success of the 15th edition held in Ibadan in July 2018, the event organisers, FlyKite Promotions, believes it will be great to take it again to the Oyo state capital.
This will be the third time the event will be hosted in the Oyo state capital, where it held in March 2017 and July 2018.
Aside the two international bouts, 12 other boxers will also be on parade.

Billed to fight for the national super featherweight title is Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola who squares up against Taofeek “Taozon” Bisuga.
Another big bout will see West African Boxing Union (WABU) welterweight champion, Rilwan “Babyface” Babatunde makes his return to action after a 1-year break. He returns to fight Ganiyu “Energy” Kolawole in a challenge bout.
Hard-punching Taiwo “Esepo” Agbaje who was the best boxer at the 16 edition of the event, will battle it out against Michael “Holy Mike” Jacob in a national lightweight contest, while Adeyemi “Sense” Opeyemi and Sadiq “Happy Boy” Adeleke will slug it out in a national bantamweight challenge.
Three graduates of GOtv Boxing NextGen Search 3 will also be in action as Morufu “Oloke” Owolabi takes on Jamiyu “Sunshine” Akande in a national lightweight challenge while Issac “I Star” Chukwudi will be up against Ibadan-based Jubril “Terrible” Olalekan.
The best boxer at the event will go home with a cash prize of N1million alongside the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Rilwan ‘Real One’ Oladosu picked up a whooping cash prize of N3 million alongside the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial trophy after emerging the best boxer at the 17th edition.
Oladosu put up a stunning show as he knocked out his opponent Hamzat in the first round to retain his National Lightweight belt.
