While Pep Guardiola's men have five matches to wrap up the season - two of which are against Tottenham Hotspur and the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, the 77-year-old wants his former side's arch rivals to win the silverware over their city rivals as repoted by Daily Star.
According to former Premier League striker Jonathan Walters, Fergie seems to be backing Liverpool more than City for the title.
“I was chatting with Phil Bardsley and I’m gonna drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast.
"He sat with him and he thinks Liverpool are gonna win it. He thinks Liverpool because he thinks United will get something out of the City game."

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp said that he was blown away by Mohamed Salah's performances in the game: "It blew me away.
"I didn’t think anything in that moment but I know I was really happy because I was in line with the ball and maybe I saw first that it would go in.
"It was a really outstanding finish and I don’t want to minimise that but I loved the first goal, too.
"I was immediately reminded of the 4-3 against Borussia Dortmund. Hendo instead of Milly and Sadio instead of Dejan, but good team play, good cross, good header. The performance was really good but you need the goals, and we got them.”
