- Jurgen Klopp will have to be weary of Man City who are second on the table with just two points difference and a match at hand

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly tipped Liverpool to win this season's Premier League title.

Unlike the Citizens, Liverpool have played 34 EPL matches this season, with three of their remaining four fixtures away from home.

While Pep Guardiola's men have five matches to wrap up the season - two of which are against Tottenham Hotspur and the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, the 77-year-old wants his former side's arch rivals to win the silverware over their city rivals as repoted by Daily Star.

According to former Premier League striker Jonathan Walters, Fergie seems to be backing Liverpool more than City for the title.

I was chatting with Phil Bardsley and I’m gonna drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast.

"He sat with him and he thinks Liverpool are gonna win it. He thinks Liverpool because he thinks United will get something out of the City game."

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp said that he was blown away by Mohamed Salah's performances in the game: "It blew me away.

"I didn’t think anything in that moment but I know I was really happy because I was in line with the ball and maybe I saw first that it would go in.

"It was a really outstanding finish and I don’t want to minimise that but I loved the first goal, too.

"I was immediately reminded of the 4-3 against Borussia Dortmund. Hendo instead of Milly and Sadio instead of Dejan, but good team play, good cross, good header. The performance was really good but you need the goals, and we got them.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool cruised to 2-0 win over Chelsea in Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Two second half goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane powered the Reds to victory as they edge closer to their first EPL title in decades.

They leaped back to the summit of the table with two points better than Man City who also claimed 3-1 win over Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
