Man in police net for collecting money from ATM with special code

The popular saying that all days are for the thieves but one day is for the owner was manifested in Dugbe area of Ibadan on Tuesday, April 9, when a young man was nabbed while collecting a huge amount of money from ATM without a debit card.

The shabbily dressed young man, Azeez Morufu, met his waterloo after a passer-by saw him with a bundle of cash, raising suspicion on what the young man needed the money for.

She quickly raised the alarm and policemen were called to arrest him. There it became clear that the suspect is a fraudster who has been using the mysterious way to cash out money from bank's Automated Teller Machine (ATM) without a debit card.

Speaking after his arrest, Morufu confessed to have been indulging in the crime prior to his imminent arrest.

According to him, he has a special code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.

The suspect is undergoing investigation in the police net and will be consequently charged to court to fully face the wrath of law.

Meanwhile, the family of the kidnapped director of Lagos State Fire Service (LSFS), Rasaki Musibau, had been thrown into fear as those suspected to have kidnapped him demanded N6 million ransom for his release.

Legit.ng recalled that Musibau was kidnapped and whisked away with six other people along the Epe-Itokin road, Ikorodu on Saturday, April 6.
