Good news for Juventus as Cristiano Ronaldo trains with teammates ahead of Ajax UCL tie

- Cristiano Ronaldo reains with Juventus teammates for the first time since returning from international break last month

- The 34-year-old suffered a minor injury during his national team outing with Portugal in March

- Ronaldo is now expected to return to starting line up in their midweek fixture having missed their last two fixtures in the Serie A

Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has has handed Juventus a boost after returning to training few days bofore their Champions League quarterfinal clash against Ajax.

The 34-year-old has not featured for the Old Lady in their last two matches owing to the injury he picked up during last month's FIFA international break.

His absence was however not felt as Italian youngster Moise Kaen inspired Massimiliano Allegri's side to back to back wins over Cagliary and Milan respectively.

Football Italia however reports that the former Real Madrid forward trained with the rest of the team on Sunday morning - meaning he could be available for selection on match day.

Since his return from national team assignment, Ronaldo has been working intensively with the club's physiotherapists in a bid to stage a return to action early.

Meanwhile, Emre Can is unlikely to travel to Holland with the squad after limping off from Juve's 2-1 win over AC Milan over the weekend.

The German star is expected to undergo further diagnosis in the next few days, but the mood is not optimistic.

Sami Khedira made his comeback against Milan a month after heart surgery, with Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Leonardo Spinazzola and Mattia De Sciglio also returning.

Douglas Costa is expected to be in the squad for the trip to Amsterdam, but not start, as he has been out of action for several months.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Juventus' next two Serie A away games because of his international commitments with Portugal.

The Juve talisman has made a commanding appearance in his first season in Italy after completing a £100 million move from Real Madrid last summer.

Ronaldo was brought to Turin to help Juventus achieve their Champions League ambition and scored a hat-trick in the Bianconeri's 3-0 over Atletico Madrid to qualify for the last eight.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
