Gerard Deulofeu nets brace as Watford beat Wolves to seal FA Cup final spot after extra-time

Watford defeated Wolves 3-2 on Sunday, April 7, in the second FA Cup semi-final clash at the Wembley.

The encounter saw both sides eager to claim the final spot to face Man City in May’s FA Cup showdown.

However, after 39 minutes of hostilities, Matt Doherty nodded home the opening goal of the match for Wolves.

And at the end of 45 minutes of action, Doherty’s goal separated both sides going into the break, with scoreboard reading Watford 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In the 62 minute Raul Jimenez increased Wolves advantage after scoring their second goal of the contest.

But in the 79' Gerard Deulofeu scored a clever chip to kick-start Watford’s comeback bid.

Eleven minutes later, Troy Deeney was brought down in Wolves’ penalty box and after VAR review, he dusted himself to net from the spot to level scores as the scoreboard read 2-2.

After the blast of the full time whistle, in the 104'minute of the extra time Deulofeu netted his second of the match and Watford’s third to take the game beyond Wolves.

And at the blast of the final whistle the Hornets sealed a FA Cup spot with a 3-2 win over Wolves.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
