Former Nollywood actress Regina Askia shares major throwback video of her catwalking during a beauty pageant

Nollywood actress turned-nurse Regina Askia-Williams has always been a beauty to behold and this made her try her luck in beauty pageants even long before her foray into movie making.

The actress who is now based in America, married to a citizen and now has grown up kids is still a stunner any time any day despite being in her 50s.

On Sunday, April 14, Regina went back memory lane when she shared video of her catwalking the run way as a beauty pageant contestant and you can see from the video that beauty lives in her. She noted that the recording was way before she had her first child Stephanie.

Sharing the video on Instagram she captioned it: “This is some major throwback !! Waaaaaaayyyyys back before Stephanie!! Wow!!”

Regina won the Miss Unilag contest in 1988 and came first runner up during the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria contest behind Bianca Onoh same year but she became the title owner in 1989 when Bianca resigned her crown. Regina had represented Nigerian at Miss Charm International where she came second.

After a successful career in beauty pageant, Regina opted out to be a model where she appeared in several print and TV commercials. Her career as an actress started with the soap opera Fortunes in 1993.

Her daughter Stephanie has since taken to modelling after Regina.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Regina Askia-Williams recently took to talk about her exit from Nollywood. The actress-turned medical practitioner revealed that she has no regrets about her decision to abandoned acting.

The 51-year-old actress revealed her thoughts during a question and answer section with fans on Instagram. According to her, she is fulfilled and content with her career as a nurse.
