Football fans mock Tottenham after losing 2-1 against Liverpool in EPL tie

- Tottenham have been mocked on social media after losing against Liverpool

- An own goal at the death condemned Spurs to a 2-1 defeat on Sunday, March 31

- Spurs fans were not happy with the result of the encounter at Anfield

Tottenham have been mocked for their performance against Liverpool on Sunday, March 31, as they were beating by Jurgen Klopp's men in tough Premier League battle.

Spurs' defeat against Liverpool now seems to have ended their Premier League title hopes although they are on course to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Fans were of the thoughts that the encounter will end 1-1 at Anfield, but an own goal at the death by Toby Alderweireld gave Liverpool the three maximum points.

The 30-year-old Belgian football star failed to clear Mohamed Salah's shot thereby turning the ball into his own net.

Aggrieved football fans however took to social media to express their disappointment towards Tottenham's defeat against Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are currently occupying third position on the Premier League standings with 61 points after 31 games played this term.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool returned to the summit of the Premier League table following their 2-1 win over title contenders Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, March 31.

Roberto Firmino opened scoring for the Reds through a superb header in the 16th minute after connecting with Andy Robertson cross from the left flank.

The hosts maintained leadership all through the first half of the meeting but were unable to increase their tally.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
