- Barca are looking to make huge summer signings ahead of their next campaign

Barcelona are reportedly considering selling six of their players to help raise funds for next summer's challenge.

The club's hierarchy are making plans for the future and are getting set to be active in the coming transfer window.

Barca have completed the signing of Frankie De Jong from Ajax and remain interested in his team-mate Matthijs de Ligt.

Atletico Madrid's star player Antoine Griezmann is another player they are paying close attention to, with his future not stable at the Wanda Metropolitano.

According to ESPN, La Blaugrana are looking raise £200million as well as balance their accounts before making any huge summer signing.

This means that Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti futures are under threat at the Camp Nou.

These stars are regular starters in Ernesto Valverde's side but for one reason for another, the club's hierarchy want them sold.

Coutinho has struggled to make his multi million pound move from Liverpool 18 months ago count, but Barca are willing to listen to offers from £90m.

Rakitic on the hand, is said to be disappointed with the club signing De Jong from Ajax but Valverde has promised the Croatian he remains part of his plans moving forward.

The World Cup silver medalist's contract is due to expire in 2021 but is keen for an extension which Barca has not granted.

Umtiti has suffered series of injuries this season and his fellow countryman Clement Lenglet, has fitted into his position and the club's interest in De Ligt could see him leave the Camp Nou.

Jasper Cillessen, Rafinha and Malcom are a trio of players who have struggled to make the starting XI and the club are prepared to cash in on them.

Malcom joined from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux in the summer but the Catalans still believe he will command a huge price tag.

Cillessen has a considerable fee £50m release clause in his contract but the club are not impressed with his performances as understudy to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Barcelona are set to hand their most priced possession Lionel Messi a contract extension but are preparing for life after their talisman.

The Argentine international will turn 32 in June and Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu said they are preparing to make provision for another superstar when he is no longer available.
