Amateur club makes 1 surprise request to Man United after bashing by Everton

A Ugandan amateur club identified as Rukungiri United FC has caused a stir online after writing a letter to Manchester United requesting for a friendly match.

The hilarious letter alleged to be from the club comes just a day after United's 4-0 demolition against Everton at Goodison Park.

In the letter addressed to the Red Devils manager, Rukungiri argues that they felt need for a friendly tie with the Premier League giants based on their current form.

"I write to request a friendly match with you basing on your current performance which is almost like ours if not below," the letter said.

The Ugandan club argued the match would present a challenging opportunity to United players "especially defenders and strikers."

"Reply us before we accept the requests of greater teams like Nyamityobora and Kabale FC," Rukungiri further warned as they signed off the letter.

Football fans have since taken to social media with a snapshot of the letter in attempt to make it go viral and perhaps reach its intended recipient.

Meanwhile, United's defeat to the Toffees saw them miss a glorious chance to break into the top four even as the ongoing season hits the homestretch.

They currently sit sixth on the log with 64 points, two behind fourth and fifth-placed Arsenal and Chelsea.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester United risk not qualifying for Champions League next season after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Everton at the Goodison Park.

The Red Devils came into this fixture with the hope of returning to winning ways after their disappointing out at the Camp Nou last week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men were however stunned by their hosts, who put four goals into the back of their net and put their top four finish ambition under threats.
