Nigerian illegal immigrants numbering 33 and one Eritrea national were on Thursday, April 11, arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, for dealing in drugs.
The suspects were arrested after detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) busted them dealing in drugs, Citizen Digital reports.
Legit.ng gathers that Kasarani OCPD Peter Kimani, said the suspects have been posing as students and operating businesses around the United States International University-Africa (USIU) and Kenyatta University (KU) with the intention of selling drugs.

Police reports claim that the suspects, who are currently before the Kiambu Law Courts, have also been terrorising Nairobi residents and have been linked to a spate of bank robberies.
Recall that in 2017, 25 Nigerians were arrested in Kasarani, Roysambu and Mirema area for being in Kenya illegally after their visa validity elapsed.
A statement by the Immigration Department read: “Most of them stay like 5 or so in one house. Before you rent any foreigner an house, kindly ask for their valid stay documents in Kenya.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Justice Binta Mohammed of a Federal High Court in Apo, Abuja, sentenced an internet fraudster, Obasi Wisdom, alias Jeff Peter, to one month in prison for swindling one Douglas Guidry of 29,000 dollars.
Justice Mohammed who convicted Wisdom on Wednesday, April 19, after he pleaded guilty to cheating, gave him an option to pay a fine of N100,000.
Mohammed said: “I have carefully perused the charge against the defendant and noted that he has pleaded guilty to the one count charge.
“I am also informed that the convict has returned part of the 29,000 dollars involved in the crime."
He said that the convict having agreed to the instrumentality of the crime and forfeited proceeds of the crime, the one month imprisonment is an appropriate punishment.
Wisdom was arraigned on April 2, 2019 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a count charge bordering on cheating by inducing Guidry to deliver 29,000 dollars.

Mamud Mohammed, the EFCC counsel, said the convict claimed to be Jeff Peters from United States under the guise of being in a romantic relationship, (gay), obtained the said sum.
