Ronaldo who was rested in Juve's first Serie A loss of the season to Genoa over the weekend, is anxiously waiting to discover if any action will be taken against him.

A statement released by UEFA confirming the charge of improper conduct against Ronaldo read: “Following a disciplinary investigation conducted by a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector, in accordance with the Article 55 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR), disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match between Juventus Football Club and Club Atlético de Madrid, played on 12 March in Italy.

“The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will deal with this case at its next meeting on 21 March 2019.”

The Italian champions are not expecting drastic measures to be taken by UEFA, believing Ronaldo will be available for the two-legged meeting with Ajax.

Coach Massimiliano Allegro has said: “Absolutely not. I think everyone celebrated their own way on the field and in the stands. I saw nothing strange, just a celebration. There won’t be a ban.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Massimiliano Allegri believes UEFA will not ban Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of next month’s UCL quarter-final clash against Ajax for ‘cojones’ goal celebration, following Juventus' 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

The Portuguese star, who was on top of his game netted three times, cancelling out Atletico's 2-0 advantage from the first-leg, to ensure Juventus progress to the quarter-finals.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
