Nigerian lady who videotaped Success set to receive car gift and N500k from government officials

Social media was set in frenzy some days ago when a video of a young primary school girl identified as Success, surfaced online. In the video, the young student was evidently angry after being sent away from school for owing school fees.

The video clip which had become an instant sensation in the online community had attracted the attention of many Nigerians, with some well-meaning citizens going the extra mile by offering to help the young lady.

Nigerian celebrities like Ayo Makun, Toke Makinwa, Wale Gates and a host of others were among those who had reacted to the young girl’s plight and offered to do their bit in addressing the issue.

Noticing that Success and her family had gotten financial assistance from the public, the lady who recorded the video Stephanie Idolor, took to social media to demand compensation from the family.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
