- The Portuguese laughed helplessly after the German tactician ran into after Divock Origi’s late winner for Liverpool

- Klopp was fined £8,000 by the FA for his conduct and has promised a repeat will not occur on Sunday

Marco Silva has turned the heat on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after he claimed Everton will threat Sunday’s Merseyside fixture as a World Cup final on Sunday.

According to a UK Sun report, Silva mocked the German, who ran into the field after Divock Origi netted a late winner for the Kop side.

Speaking early in the week Klopp maintained Liverpool will hold their own against the Toffees on matchday.

“Everton, we all know, for them it’s kind of a World Cup final,” Klopp remarked.

Silva on his part stressed that Everton will give their best during the derby showdown.

For us? It’s a special match for the city and the fans.

“I didn’t see a big difference. I managed my last derby in December.

“What I felt was a special match for both teams,” he said, even as he also found time to mock the Reds manager for his goal celebration during their last clash.

“They celebrated that lucky goal. For them, they celebrated like a World Cup Final,” Silva added.

Already, Klopp has assured there will be no repeat of his December goal celebration, with Everton Jordan Pickford’s injury time blunder in the 1-0 win at the center of it all.

The former Dortmund manager was handed a £8,000 by the FA for his conduct during the encounter.

“We all know my celebration. I will not do it again.

“What happened that day was very surprising.

“The ball was out, Virg (van Dijk) already turned after his 'wonderful' volley, but Div (Origi) stayed awake and scored that goal.

“It was a very special moment.

“I am not sure if it is possible to be more motivated than they were and we were that day!

“Of course the game was special,

“But it’s not the time to put the finger in an open mouth and say we want something like that again,” Klopp submitted.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Liverpool bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League following their impressive 5-0 victory over Watford at Anfield on Wednesday, February 27.

The Reds, who are hoping to end their trophy-less run this campaign, were held to a goalless draw by a depleted Manchester United side over the weekend.

A result that threatened their title chase as defending champions Man City continued to mount pressure on them.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
