Premier League giants, Liverpool, on Sunday, March 10, returned to winning ways after defeating Burnley 4-2 at Anfield to keep their title hopes alive.

Be that as it may, the Clarets still took an early lead within just six minutes of game play via Ashley Westwood who beat Alisson with his right-footed corner to make it 1-0.

However, the lead was short lived as Roberto Firmino restored parity for Liverpool in the 19th minute, with the Brazilian tapping home from a yard out.

Sadio Mane made it 2-1 ten minutes later, sweeping a curling effort into the corner beyond Heaton.

In the second half Firmino continued with his attacking heroics that eventually paid of in the 68th minute as he bagged a brace from Burnley's defensive lapse to put the game beyond the visitors.

The hosts however survived a stoppage time scare as Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson strike nearly brought the visitors back to the game.

Mane went on to cap Liverpool's victory with a powerful shot moments later to add to his tally.

Before the Sunday tie, Jurgen Klopp's men had dropped nine points in their eight league matches since the turn of the year.

They remain second on the log with 73 points, just one behind leaders, Manchester City.
