Liverpool star reacts to New Zealand mosque shootings that left 49 dead

- Mohamed Salah took to Twitter to send his heartfelt condolences after a gunman attacked two mosques in New Zealand

- 49 persons were reported dead while 48 other were injured after the attacks

- A 28-year-old man was nabbed by security operatives and will be charged with murder

Mohamed Salah has expressed complete disapproval of a gunman attacks in New Zealand which left 49 people dead with 48 others injured.

According to Daily Mail, the incident which occurred during Friday’s Jumat prayers, targeted two mosques in Christchurch.

The report further revealed that a 28-year-old man identified as Brenton Tarrant carried out the killing 41 at the Al Noor Mosque.

In addition, seven persons lost their lives at another mosque in Linwood, while a victim died in hospital.

Reacting after the attacks, Salah, who took to the social media stressed it was a very sad development.

“Dreadful news coming out of New Zealand this morning.

“My condolences go out to the families of those innocent victims who lost their lives in this act of pure evil,” the Liverpool forward tweeted via his official Twitter handle.

In the vain, Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko sent his heartfelt condolences to those who were directly and indirectly affected by the incident.

“All my thoughts and prayers goes to the victims and their families for this terrible attack in #NewZealand.

Already, a man was nabbed by security operatives is expected to be docked with murder charge after streaming the massacre live on a social media platform.

The police also took in four suspects for interrogation after refusing to reveal their identities.

“It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack,” prime minister Jacinda Ardern was quoted as saying by journalists.

She also found time to react on the attack on the social media.

What has happened in Christchurch is an extraordinary act of unprecedented violence.

'It has no place in New Zealand. Many of those affected will be members of our migrant communities - New Zealand is their home - they are us,” Ardern tweeted.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Mohamed Salah will miss out Egypt friendly match against Nigeria in Asaba this month.

According to a Goal.com report citing KingFut, Egypt Football Association (EFA) vice-president Ahmed Shobier, confirmed that the Liverpool star alongside West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazi are likely to be left out of Javier Aguirre’s tutored-side.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
