INEC worked against us, I don't trust their process - Oshiomhole laments

- The national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has said that INEC was biased in the it handled the party's primaries

- Oshiomhole said the electoral body manifested its partiality in only using the card readers technology in the states it wants

- The chairman of the party also added that rumours that he could solely appoint a senate president is not true

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comarade Adams Oshiomhole, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was partial in the way it handled the party’s primaries.

Oshiomhole said the electoral body carried out the bias through how it only used card readers in plaaces that suit it, vanguard reports.

The chairman of the APC made this known in an interview, while he adding that he cannot solely appoint the next Senate president.

He said: “INEC was biased even in the way it dealt with our primaries, INEC was biased in the way in which it selectively used the card readers or the non-use of card readers in some states where it suits them

‘This morning, the leadership of the party met and agreed that we would work with a party called African Action Congress (AAC), while we are still in court to reclaim our mandate.”

The APC chieftain strongly maintained that he doubted the processes involved in the conduct of the election by INEC, that the partiality of the electoral commission was clear to all.

In his words: “‘I have huge reservations about the way INEC conducted this election. INEC bias against APC is so clear.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Oshiomhole asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to dismiss the suit seeking to compel the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to commence criminal investigation against him.

It was also gathered that the APC's chairman in a preliminary objection to the suit filed by Bishop Osadolor Ochei said the plaintiff lacked legal right to institute the action.
