- But the ex Man City striker failed to score for Marseille who were defeated 3-1 by PSG

Italian football star Mario Balotelli had a plan to mock Paris-Saint-Germain on Sunday, March 17, if he had scored against Thomas Tuchel's side in Lique 1 encounter.

Paris-Saint-Germain defeated Mario Balotelli and his Marseille teammates 3-1 in which Angel Di Maria scored brace as Balotelli failed to score.

Mario Balotelli wanted to troll Paris-Saint-Germain's Champions League exit with the face of Marcus Rashford under his jersey.

But the former Manchester City star was unable to score against Paris-Saint-Germain which made his plan not to be accomplished.

According to French football journalist Jonathan Johnson, the Italy international was wearing a t-shirt with a photograph of Rashford underneath his jersey, that he have unleashed if he scored.

Johnson tweeted: “Mario Balotelli reportedly had a t-shirt with the face of Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford underneath his Marseille shirt in case he scored & celebrated vs PSG this evening."

Fans of Paris-Saint-Germain and players are still nursing the pain of the penalty Marcus Rashford scored against them in the Champions League round of 16 encounter.

Mario's celebration would have been a complete U-turn on the “Why always me?” t-shirt he unveiled at Old Trafford when scored the opener as City beat United 6-1 in 2011.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paris-Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel explained that his wards have responded to their Champions League defeat against Premier League side Manchester United.

PSG traveled to England to beat Manchester United 2-0 in their first leg of their round of 16 encounter only for them to be defeated 3-1 in the second leg in Paris.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
