The Nigerian soldiers who have died and those who continue to serve the nation at the risk of loosing their lives, often don't get celebrated enough. Many women have been made widows and children, fatherless all in cause of safeguarding the nation.
Perhaps, it is in this light that a yet to be identified photographer decided to make an artistic illustrations, shinning light on not just the soldier, but the family he lives behind when duty calls.
The photos which were shared by a Facebook user, Aliyu Ibrahim, depicts the story of a soldier who is called to the battle ground and has to leave a young wife and children back home. In the series, it appears the wife gets the message of her husband's death and is left with the kids to mourn their tragic loss.
