A young Nigerian lady identified as Tolulope Peperenpe has taken to social media to seek justice for a terrible incident that happened to her. The young lady alleged that she was beaten up by her husband's cousin (brother-in-law).
The lady, who had taken her story to Twitter, revealed that the incident occurred around 7:00pm on Friday, March22, in Ado-Ekiti.
According to her, the brother-in-law identified simply as Babatunde is a staff at Ekiti State University. She explained that the man had beaten her up on claims that she did not greet him properly.

She wrote: "Good evening twitter, my cousin's husband (Mr Babatunde, a staff of Ekiti State University) beat me up in Ado-Ekiti at about 7pm today. The reason for this assault was "I didn't greet him properly. Kindly help me get justice."

After the tweet went viral, Tolulope noted that many people are blaming her for bringing her family issue to Twitter. She said they also claimed that she should not have involved the police in the matter.
According to her, the family claimed that they can beat her because she is their daughter. She noted that they also warned her to respect the family.

She said: "Everyone is blaming me, that it is a family issue. They said I should never have involved the police. They said I am their daughter and they can beat me. They said I should respect the family."

Some Twitter users who were also of the same mind as the family of the husband shared their thoughts. Some even claimed that she must have done something more which was why she was beaten.
Tolulope replied, saying: "Awon custodian of morality and punishment. You should have knelt down, you should go and apologize, you should tell us what you did, there is more to the story.....Epele o, how is it doing you today?"
