Ghanaian music act Stonebwoy disgruntled at people bashing a church for playing his music

Popular Ghanaian reggae dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has replied Ghanaians who slammed members of the Freedom Chapel International for dancing to his song.

According to Stonebwoy, it was wrong for some section of Ghanaians to slam and voice out hate speeches in connection to the incident.

In a video that he posted on his Instagram page, the artiste was heard addressing the comments made by some Ghanaians about the viral video.

The talented act noted that he does not see anything wrong in having a church play and dance to his Kpoo Keke song.

He revealed that the song does not include profane words but rather lyrics that meant he was thanking God for life.

"Lets leave the churches alone. Let us not try to use the opportunity to express hate or ignorance towards the church," he said.

Stonebwoy noted that the temple of God is not the church building but the body we have as human beings. He explained how people who claim to be perfect sin everyday using their body even though the body is a temple of God.

"Let us take it easy and let us not try to play perfect because the same people who go to the church are the same ones who go out there to support circular musicians who are tagged as evil," he stressed.

Stonebwoy talked about the fact that some of the circular music have good lyrics in them than some gospel songs.

He cautioned against bias and noted that people should not segregate or try to kill the circular music.

It seems the accusation leveled against the church by some social media users did not go down well with Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy before this reply had posted a video of some church members dancing to his song in the church auditorium.

Some Instagram users on watching the video reacted with many slamming the church for playing the music. They had argued that the song is a circular music, thus should not be promoted or played in the church.

The complaint which went viral drew the attention of the star, a reason he took to Instagram to reply those slamming the church. The church however came out to defend their action, claiming that the church was enjoying a party time, hence the music.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
