Gernot Rohr reveals big update about Victor Moses ahead of the 2019 AFCON

- Victor Moses has not reversed his decision to quit the Super Eagles of Nigeria

- This is according to Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who revealed the update

- Moses quit the Super Eagles after playing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia

Gernot Rohr who is the handler of Super Eagles has made it clear that Chelsea forward Victor Moses has not reversed his decision to quit the national team ahead of the 2019 AFCON.

Moses who currently plays for Turkish side Fenerbahce on loan from Chelsea hanged his international boots in August 2018 after the World Cup citing family and career as reason.

And ever since the 28-year-old left the national team, there have been reports that he could make a return for the squad that will campaign at the 2019 Nations Cup in Egypt.

Victor Moses was also speculated to be recalled for this month's games against Seychelles and Egypt which did not happen.

Gernot Rohr has now explained that he has no information about Victor Moses' likely return to the national team.

"I was against his international retirement and if he changed his mind, he must tell me but I have no information about it. We'll see,'' Gernot Rohr told CAF official website.

Moses who was part of the Super Eagles squad that won their last AFCON title in South Africa has scored two goals for Fenerbahce after six games.

Previously, Legit.ng had reported how Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that Chelsea winger Victor Moses is eager to make a return to the Super Eagles ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Victor Moses announced his retirement from international football after the Super Eagles' campaign at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

And while speaking on Channels TV, NFF president Amaju Pinnick made it clear that he is in touch with Victor Moses over a possible return to the Super Eagles.
