The popular and ever busy trade fair in Lagos has been locked down as traders are reportedly protesting its take over by the government.
A social media user, Chibuzor who disclosed this on Twitter said the market association suspended activities on Monday, March 18, to protest the forceful takeover.
"All market association in international trade fair complex has suspended activities today to protest against the forceful take over of the complex by Lagos state government," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams said his heart bled at the number of casualties recorded in the Itafaji Lagos building collapse.
The three-storey building, which had a school on one of its floors, caved in on Wednesday morning, March 13, leaving no fewer than 20 persons, including children, dead, and many injured.
Legit.ng gathered that Adams, in a statement, expressed sadness over the death of children in the building, and sympathised with the families of the victims.
He said: “I feel sad that the lives of many of those promising adults and young pupils could be cut short in such manner. It is sad. My heart bleeds at the number of casualties.
“The sorrow I feel now is overwhelming, seeing the way they were being evacuated from the rubble of the building.
