Atiku's supporter refuses to give beggars money because he believes they voted for Buhari (video)

- A supporter of former vice president Atiku Abubakar has expressed displeasure that the PDP candidate lost the 2019 presidential election

- The supporter identified as Olayinka Samuel, has refused to give beggars money following his preferred candidate's defeat at the poll

- Samuel believes beggars voted for President Buhari in the Saturday, February 23 election, in which Buhari emerged winner

Olayinka Samuel, a supporter of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the Saturday, February 23 election, has refused to give beggars money because he believed they voted for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Legit.ng recalls that President Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) beat Atiku by polling 15,191,847 while Atiku had 11,262,978 votes.

Samuel took to his Twitter page on Friday, March 1, to share video of himself in a car telling a beggar that he would not give him his money.

No voter should be discriminated against because of their choice of candidates. Elections will come and go and intolerance should be discouraged during and after elections, Legit.ng understands.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Nigerians from all walks of life reacted differently to President Muhammadu Buhari's victory in the Saturday, February 23 presidential election.

While some celebrated the president's emergence others expressed displeasure over his re-election bid, which will last for another four years.

One of President Buhari's supporters took to social media to shed tears of joy over the president's victory in the election.

In another previous report by Legit.ng, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the Saturday, February 23 presidential election and asked Atiku Abubakar and other candidates to accept defeat in good faith.

The labour congratulated the president in a statement on Wednesday, February 27, by its president, Ayuba Wabba.

The union also congratulated other candidates for their participation and urged them to adhere to the peace accord they signed before the election.

It said: “The Nigeria Labour Congress wishes to congratulate Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, being the second person to get re-elected since the return to civilian rule twenty years ago.

“We also wish to congratulate other candidates for their participation and urge them to accept the outcome of the election, and adherence to the peace accord they had signed before the election.

“Mr President won in 2015 on his campaign promise to fight corruption, restore security and grow the economy. From his re-election, this may have boded well with the greater majority of the people who voted for him."

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
