Atiku addresses Nigerians ahead of March 9 election, issues fresh message (video)

- Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has issued a fresh message to Nigerians ahead of guber election

- The former vice president, in a new video, called on his supporters to vote PDP across levels in March 9

- Atiku also expressed gratitude on the love and support showered on him during the recently conducted presidential election

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23 presidential election, has called on his supporters to come out en mass in the March 9 election and votes candidates of the party across levels.

Atiku made the call on Thursday, March 7, in a brief video posted on his verified Twitter handle ahead of the governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

The former vice president also expressed gratitude on the love and support showered on him during the recently conducted presidential election across the country.

He also called for peace during the election, vowing that the "great match for the victory of Peoples Democratic Party cannot be stopped.''

He said: ''I express my profound gratitude for the massive votes you gave my party - the PDP, during the presidential and National Assembly elections. As we move to the governorship & state elections on March 9, I urge you to come out in larger numbers to peacefully vote for PDP, from top to bottom.''

Atiku, who alleged ''criminal conspiracy by the incumbent government'' in the last election, urged his supporters come out in multitude and vote for his party.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a three-man panel set up to hear the motion ex-parte filed by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and his party commenced hearing on Wednesday, March 6.

At the hearing, Atiku and PDP's attorney, Chris Uche (SAN), argued that the presidential candidate should be allowed to inspect materials used for the February 23 presidential election.
